I hate to fail, but today my buddy and I put our brains together and still failed. I invited him to come over and help me replace my garbage disposal that had mysteriously stopped working. We followed the instructions, got it installed, and expectantly flipped the switch. Nothing happened. Oh, water poured out of the pipes because I forgot to tighten a few bolts, but that doesn’t count. The response we were expecting was the mighty chomping sound of a hungry disposal. Nothing. We inspected the connections, checked the circuit box, and then did both of those things again. Nothing.
The professional will come next week.
I prefer the feeling of fixing things myself. My pride wants to boast, “I did that!” However, there are many things I can’t do. Apparently, replacing garbage disposals is one of them. Another is saving my own soul. Acts 4:12 says, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” When I check the internet for electricians, I get 324,000,000 results and I expect that most of them are competent. When I try “soul-saving services,” 285,000,000 results pop up, but all but one of them is a fraud. Soul-saving is not a DIY project. Is your life a mess? Call the one and only pro–Jesus Christ.
THERE IS A SMALL RED BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DISPOSAL. PRESS IT & TRY AGAIN…
Thank you, Dennis, but I pushed thet little red button so many times that my finger got sore, then I remembered the old adage about the definnition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. However, I wish you were here as I know you could fix it.
