Can you remember when you didn’t know the secret to Tic-Tac-Toe? Every game was a challenge because maybe you would win and maybe you would lose. Then, one day you figured out why your big brother or big sister never lost a game. Since then, you’ve never lost a game either, but you’ve also never won unless it was against someone who didn’t know the moves.
Sometimes in this digital age, I feel like I have also become digitized; that life is an algorithm to be discovered. Some say that humanity is doomed because AI is faster to the draw. The problem is that algorithms are boring. I started playing the expert version of Sudoku recently, but found it isn’t harder; it just takes longer.
I was feeling rather digital today, making the practiced moves, step 1, step 2, step 3. Then I remembered something amazing: “For God so loved the World, He did not send an algorithm.” Instead, he sent a relationship–unpredictable, unsolvable, but always the way, the truth, and the life. Just try to figure that one out. I can’t; no one has, but trying is the great adventure.
WOW !! Thanks for this timely devotion
