“If I were you, I’d order the most expensive thing on the menu,” suggested our waiter. Of course he would say that, because the bigger our bill, the bigger his tip. However, his advice also made sense for us since our Alaskan tour was all inclusive. No matter the cost, it had already been paid. By the time we finished our meal, the price for two was $171.
In Ephesians 3:20, the Apostle Paul tells us that God “is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think.” If that is true, why don’t we ask for more? Do we think we have to conserve our prayer requests, or save the big ones for when we really need them? In this passage, Paul recommends that we sit down at God’s table and order with eyes big and stomachs empty.
