We had been planning this event for months, but whether or not we would see it was in the hands of God. To see a total eclipse of the sun is something a person can see only a few times in their life. I had never seen one, and I was determined not to miss this one. We were with a group of friends in Dallas, Texas, and had been enjoying perfect weather for the last four days. Monday, however, was forecast to be cloudy and rainy.
Hallelujah! About an hour before the eclipse, the clouds parted, and glorious sunshine flooded the Texas skies. Everything seemed perfect, and it was, right up until the time of totality. At just the wrong second, a large cloud moved into place, obscuring our view. Fortunately, it did part briefly so that we saw short glances of the eclipse. It was amazing! Still, I was reminded of the verse, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
I’m making plans to see the next eclipse. I’ll be in my 90’s. Only God knows if I’ll see it from the front side, backside, or not at all.
IM GLAD YOU GOT TO SEE IT MY FRIEND. LOVE YOUR BACKYARD BIBLE STUDY ❤️
